A Tribute to Marvin Harold Meyerson

The Trustees and staff of RRF Foundation for Aging extend our sympathy to the family, colleagues, and friends of Marvin Meyerson, former Trustee, who died June 9, 2021.

Marvin served as a dedicated Trustee of the Foundation for 24 years, from October 1990 to November of 2014. The oldest Foundation in the country dedicated solely to issues of aging, RRF Foundation for Aging’s (RRF) mission is to improve the quality of life for older people, especially the most vulnerable. Marvin came to RRF’s Board after retiring as President of three different insurance companies owned by John MacArthur who established RRF in Chicago more than 40 years ago.

Over the years Marvin served on the Board, the compassion, wisdom, and business savvy that he brought to RRF and its mission inspired Trustees, staff, and grantees and touched thousands of older people who benefitted from the programs supported by the Foundation.

Marvin was kind, intelligent, and witty. Even though he retired from the board in 2014, Marvin continued to stay in touch with long-serving staff and Trustees and was an ardent advocate for RRF’s mission to improve the quality of life for all aging people.

His contributions continue to inspire is.

In Sympathy,
