RRF Foundation for Aging (RRF) is pleased to announce two new appointments to its Board of Trustees, effective October 1, 2023: Robyn Golden, Associate Vice President of Social Work and Community Health at Rush University Medical Center; and Michelle R.B. Saddler, Managing Director & Principal at Kittleman & Associates.
“We are excited to have Robyn and Michelle join our Board,” said Ruth Ann Watkins, RRF Foundation for Aging Board Chair. “As accomplished leaders in their respective fields, they both are well-versed on issues important to RRF’s strategic direction and mission to improve the quality of life of older people.”
For more than 45 years, RRF has sustained its commitment to older adults, grounded in a practice of thoughtful insights, strong collaboration, and focused leadership. These are linchpins of the Foundation’s philanthropic contributions and influence. With the addition of these new Board members, RRF will benefit from additional skills and perspectives on its governing body — helping to advance the Foundation’s mission, vision, and values.
“While embracing what lies ahead, let us also acknowledge the contributions of RRF’s current and past leadership, most particularly the contributions of Tom Prohaska, Ph.D., an esteemed colleague who is stepping down from the Board after 11 years of service. It is with tremendous gratitude that we recognize Tom’s work as a long-standing RRF Trustee and a champion in the field of aging,” Chair Watkins added.
In recent years, RRF has embarked upon an exciting period of strategic enhancements directed by its current Board of Trustees, which includes Ruth Ann Watkins, MBA; Downey R. Varey, CPA; Michael Starshak, CPA; John Bouman, J.D.; Kathleen Kolodgy, J.D.; Thomas Kuczmarski, MBA; Adrienne D. Mims, M.D.; and Anthony J. Perry, M.D., and implemented under the leadership of RRF President Mary O’Donnell and a committed team of staff members.
“Trustees Golden and Saddler’s appointments align perfectly with RRF’s trajectory. Having insightful, new voices at the table is a wonderful opportunity to advance our strategic direction,” said President O’Donnell. “Together, they bring a diverse mix of experiences that cut across social work, public service, finance, and collaboration, as well as community-informed approaches to advancing equity among historically marginalized populations.
